All winners and finalists will be notified by the end of May following the entry deadline. Unfortunately we cannot notify the rest of the entrants individually. The results of the competition will be published on our website (www.violingifts.com/art) and in our email newsletter in September.

17. If I win an award, what more will I have to provide?
If your entry is chosen as a winner, you may be asked to provide us with either a better photograph or digital file depending on the resolution of the original print.

17. How do I know if my electronic photo/artwork is 300 dpi?
DPI stands for "dots per inch" and is a standard format required for printed mediums (such as the calendar). Most art and photo software will include an option to see what the resolution is for your file, look in your manual for your specific software. Another clue is the size of the file. Right click on your electronic picture and choose "properties" from the menu. Under "file size" it should say at least 1,000,000 bytes or 1000 KB or 1 MB.
