The Violin Case is seeking submissions for the 3rd Annual International String Art Competition. The winning artworks will be published in the 2009 Celebrate the Strings! Calendar which will be available at the end of this year. Artists are encouraged to submit drawings, pictures, paintings, or computer artwork of their favorite stringed instrument. Only original artwork containing the bowed stringed instruments will be accepted.

Twelve winners will be selected, one for each month of the calendar. Competition winners will receive a FREE calendar and an official winning certificate.

Judging: The judging will be done by a panel of judges including renowned violist and artist, Emanuel Vardi and his wife, violinist and artist, Lenore Vardi.
To make a submission:
- Draw, color, photograph, paint, a picture of your instrument. Your artwork can include other objects such as you, your bow, stand etc, but must include a bowed stringed instrument.

- Read and follow the PROSPECTUS instructions.
- Fill out a Submission Form (pdf).
- Cross your fingers!
- Winners will be notified by email by May 30th, 2008!
